Holly River State Park Restaurant is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day then on weekends in April, May, September and October. The restaurant has been included as one of the 101 Unique Places to Dine in West Virginia several times and features menu items include homemade bread, blackberry cobbler, lasagna, rhubarb pie and roast beef sandwiches. Amenities include picnic shelters, corrals for campers with horses and the Holly River State Park Restaurant, which offers a cozy, sit-down dining area with home-style meals. Recreational opportunities in this park include camping, hiking, swimming and tennis. The dense forests of Holly River provide guests with a natural setting where they can find peaceful solitude. Located in a narrow valley in the Mountain Lakes region, the park is surrounded by heavily forested mountains, some reaching more than 2,800 feet in height. With 8,101 acres of dense forest, Holly River is West Virginia's second largest state park and known for its wide range of flora, including wildflowers and ferns.
